Perceptual analysis of distance sampling and transmittance estimation techniques in biomedical volume visualization

In volumetric path tracer, distance sampling and transmittance estimation techniques play a vital role in producing high-quality final rendered images. Previously, these were implemented for production volume rendering, analyzed faster convergence. this article, we have augmented additional estimators including ratio tracking, residual tracking unbiased ray marcher GPU-based tracer (Exposure Render) biomedical datasets. We also methods perceptually using CIEDE2000 Structural Similarity Index (SSIM). It was found that performed close to each other better than marching perceptually. addition, observed be delta sampling. validated results by conducting user study where different users shown images varied samplers estimators. Although, as expected, datasets had an impact on the rendering result technique, perceptual differences did exist between As major contribution of work, crucial visualization due having direct image which is used diagnosis prognosis disease.
